A very touching letter

A very touching letter

Wardley Gate Care HomeWe received this very touching letter this week from the daughter of one of our residents, who sadly passed away in July.

It is feedback like this that makes all the difference to us at Wardley Gate Care Home.  Well done to our staff and thank you to Maureen for taking the time to write to us.

4th September 2017

Dear Joanne

As you’re probably aware my Mam sadly passed away in Wardley Gate
on the 30th July.

There aren’t enough words to say how truly wonderful Lindsay and her staff are and
how well they looked after Mam, particularly towards the end when she came back
from hospital. They didn’t just care for her but for me and the family as well.

She was so happy to be back at Wardley Gate – I could see her face relax as soon as
we drove into the car park and she got such a welcome from Julie, Amy and the rest
of the staff on duty.

She always said “What would I do without this place?” and many times during that last
week she told me that she loved the staff “to bits”.

I’ll never forget the kindness and care she was shown and its impossible for me to
name individuals as they were all so good, but I’m particularly touched at how caring
some of the younger members of staff were as well as the Seniors and the night staff
who, of course, ICJ never met before.

They’ll never know how much they are appreciated.

You have a brilliant team there led by a wonderful manager in Lindsay so I had to
write to you to express my thanks, which I’m sure you will pass on.

I always considered them to be my Hillside Grange/Wardleygate family and they
always will be.

Kind regards

Maureen F
